What is concrete of cleanliness ?
Concrete of cleanless is a lean concrete dosed at 150kg/m3 generally, poured in the bottom of the excavation, on a small thickness and whose role is to ensure the flatness of the foundations and protect them against the ground.
Why do it under its foundation ?
- As the name suggests to clean the bottom of the excavation and allow to put well in place of reinforcement before pouring;
- The solidity of the foundation concrete can be strongly degraded by the presence of organic matter (earth, wood, leaves, dead ……), it serves to avoid the presence of organic matter in the concrete;
- It ensures that the dimensions of the work that will be realized on it will be respected, because it makes it possible to smooth the bottom of excavation.
Criteria for choosing concrete cleanliness
Knowing that the concrete cleanliness for some cases of work will allow to avoid the hard points in the ground by the foundation, it is well to choose its thickness according to the type of structure and the specific role that we aim at.
Difference between clean concrete and large concrete
Concrete cleanliness has a small amount of cement; It is dosed at 150 kg of cement per m3 of concrete (against 350 kg / m3 usually for large concrete)
Concrete concrete is used to separate concrete from the foundations of the soil while the main concrete aims to catch the good soil (good deep soil) so its height depends on the depth of good soil.
